Cindy attended SUNY OCC Syracuse, NY as well as SUNY Polytechnic Institute Marcy, NY. She has been in the health information management field for 42 years and recently retired as HIM Director/Privacy Officer of Bishop Rehabilitation Center, Syracuse, NY.
She is currently employed part-time as an HIM Outpatient Remote Coder for Xtensys at Cayuga Health Center of Ithaca, NY, as well as, self-employed as a Consultant for Long Term Care Document Strategies of Mexico, NY.
She is an active member of AHIMA, NYHIMA and CNYHIMA and is currently the Past President of CNYHIMA and Co-Chair of Education and Planning for the NYHIMA 2026 Annual Conference, Delegate for NYHIMA 2026-2027. She will continue with CNYHIMA on 7/1/26 as Correspondence Director.
Originally from Frankfort, NY; Cindy has been married to Dominick Alsheimer of Utica, NY for the past 43 years; has a daughter Catherine Elizabeth and granddaughter Serafina Cyndith (who are all her world). Cindy and Dominick both reside in Mexico, NY. She enjoys her loving family, volunteering, networking, working with Managers and her peer Remote Coders, research/planning events, promoting students forward, networking, education, creativity and trips to the Casino.
